The electronic functions in your car depend on sensors that report to your Electronic Control Module (ECM) or Powertain Control Module (PCM).
Often described as the brain of your vehicle, the PCM or ECM (also known as the engine control unit) allow your car to perform everyday tasks like lowering the windows or unlocking the doors.
In the event you need a replacement ECM, installation isn't as simple as disconnecting the faulty module and installing a new one. Correct replacement of an electronic control module requires you to reprogram, or reflash, the module. At All Makes & Models Auto Repair, we specialize in ECM reprogramming.
We reflash modules for drivers across Tucson, AZ, Marana, AZ, Green Valley, AZ, and the surrounding areas. If any of your vehicle's electronic functions stop working correctly, contact our team. If the module is the culprit, we'll work with you to provide the proper service.

We can't stress the importance of programming when it comes to any new powertrain or electronic module. In fact, if you replace the ECM on a vehicle model year '96 or newer and don't flash or program it, then your vehicle won't start. Most electronic car modules have a warning on them about reflashing before installation.
